Melissa Tristan 4

Judy F Sherrod and S. Gayle Stevens

These two artist collaborated together processing an amazing series using pinhole and collodion plates.  Their work shows darkness and light in the sky looking deep into the bottom of earth.  I enjoy their work because it is some what about nature but they do so by going up close and personal.  An example of this is the first image.  It allows us to see close to the water where its level lets the ground be above it.

They also have a way of showing texture and creating an abstracted look to their images.  It is quite interesting how we never really see the world like the way these two artist has captured it.  This is what caught my attention and really fascinated with their outcome.
