Etienne Gröpl by Fabiola B.

Etienne Gropl

He is a passionate pinhole photographer. He get in love with pinhole photography when looking at some photos on Flickr. A month later he had the chance to buy a Holga in a small shop in Paris. The Holga and him are inseparable since. He takes it with him wherever he can.

He likes the simplicity of a pinhole camera. For him pinhole photography is a reduction to the essential things in Photography. He loves the shapes, light, and perspectives on a piece of film. It offers him a simple system to capture daylight scenes with a long exposure time an extreme angle.

He is planning to use more filters for his pinhole photography with b&w films and to save some money to push his negatives. He wants to develop the negatives by himself.

At the moment he only use the Holga 120 for the pinhole photography. His preferred color film is Kodak Ektar 100 and Ilford  HP5 for the black and white film.
