Graciela Iturbide by Brandi Adams

Graciela Iturbide is another photographer that I came across in my Mexican art history class that conveys surreal images. Iturbide does not need photoshop or any type of manipulation to keep her viewers attention she just needs her culture and the rare oddities that comes with that culture such as the woman with the iguanas on her head. That woman sees that iguana hat as an everyday occurrence in her small town. Or simply putting a radio in a woman's hand in the middle of the desert and the viewer is going to be wondering why this woman has a radio in the middle of the desert therefore keeping the viewer's attention for a much longer time.
