It has been pretty hard to find more of Nicholas Kennedy Sitton's biography, but I don't think we need to know his entire profile in order to instantly appreciate his magnificent work. Silton's base his works on his hometown, San Francisco, exploring the different angles of the human interaction within architecture. It is pretty sure that he base his calculations on math and the distortion and manipulation of the grid existing to each photograph. "Twist Architecture"
He grids it out keeping in mind at the same time to allow the viewer to continue the eye movement by leaving connections, such as a pathway textures and even distributions, as a guide to the eye.
"The hidden people" refers to Sitton's manipulation of "buildings are spiraling into themselves like portals to another dimension", which can also be characteristic of M.C. Escher's perspectives. I wonder how the viewer can appreciate this in real life and if the size will be part of an experience in which the observer encounters him/ herself as part of this surreal world.
