CLARISSA GUTIERREZ- reviews Thielker Gregory

Another artist with I find completely fascinated by his work is Thielker Gregory. His works are based on daily life imagery that captures the attention to viewers. His use of different techniques and control of mainly liquid and oils creates an incredible realistic paintings based on photographs. His attention to detail fool the eye of the observer, giving the idea of being a simple photograph instead of a painting. His compositions are mostly abstract but with realistic elements.
According to the artist,an I quote, " These paintings reflect my interest in the way that the road delineates and controls how we experience landscape." His "work with relationships between surface and depth, between flatness and illusion" creates a compressed perspective in which colors  and forms are distorted from the eye's point of view.
