Kirk Crippens
In his project, The Great Recession, Kirk attempts to
portray the economic difficulties of people in the United States. His pictures
are truly moving in the way it expresses the tremendous loss people feel during
this time. What’s really striking is the way it shows how people feel, without
showing any people. He has kept everyone absent from his photos like the people
have abandoned every place. It’s quite an accomplishment to show such humanity
in photographs without showing people.
