Daniel Gonzalez submits JanKapoor

Jan Kapoor is a pinhole photographer whose primary interests include landscape, natural abstraction and still life. She has been working with various pinhole cameras and printing techniques for the last twenty years. Her concepts are rooted in time and space as an experience that can only be captured by the pinhole camera; the image contains the past and present of that moment. Kapoor uses single pinhole cameras as well as a 6-pinhole camera she made herself. The resulting images from her 6-pinhole camera reinforce her ideas about space and time as they exhibit a blending of images whose origins are scrambled; thus creating a linear experience with a non-sequential logic. To produce her final images Kapoor utilizes many alternative processes including the use of platinum, palladium, and cyanotype techniques.
